These websites are coupled with our bespoke Content Management System (Admin system). These CMSs contain sections for uploading content as well as admin areas for content submitted via the website forms.

The size of websites and CMS functionality depends on client budget and requirements.

Our pricing policy is simple. We estimate how long a project will take in terms of hours and times it by our hourly rate. If the project is over a certain size we usually discount the price. Please see our Pricing policy page.

Our build processes

We follow a 4-step process when producing our websites, this includes:

Initial discussion about business case and requirements

We like to have an initial discussion over what the website is for and who it is aimed at. It is also useful to know what the business case is and what the client expects from the website.

Often, we can give our clients other functionality that would be useful in their business that could be incorporated into the website.

Some questions that we discuss in our meetings are as follows:

• What is the overall budget?
• What does the website need to show and who is it intended for?
• How many pages of information and what sections are required?
• Who will manage the website and who need to receive contact form submissions
• Does the website manager require training?
• Is after-build support and further development required?

Website Design

For the design process we like to complete the following tasks:

• Photography session: to collect good images of the business if required
• Logos: gathering media for logos or recreation of logos from client design
• Discussion on style of website with examples of other industry website designs
• Production of several home page website design styles using Adobe Photoshop
• After homepage style has been agreed, secondary page layouts are designed

Once the designs have been agreed the development can begin.

Website Development

The build process involves the following steps:

• Creation of Sitemap
• Website is programmed, and layouts are developed using CSS, Bootstrap etc according to agreed design
• Website testing during development
• The website is uploaded onto staging area at various development staging for customer viewing
• Further website testing and checking
• Different pages are produced
• Any business functionality is programmed following client discussions e.g. Contact-us forms etc
• Website copy-text provided by the client is uploaded to pages
• Further website testing and checking
• CMS Admin system is programmed and developed using CSS, Bootstrap etc
• CMS website testing and checking

Website Hosting and Go-Live

Once the development has been finished it is time to organise hosting and other tasks. Hosting can be purchased including domain name (internet address) etc. Other tasks include:

• Appropriate level of hosting is purchased by the client
• Upload website files to the hosting area
• Upload CMS website to the hosting area under a separate website area
• Transfer Domain name to the website and CMS
• Create/Setup email accounts
• Test Domain name and email
• Further website testing and checking
